Custom desktop apps that take on the whole job.

We design and build software that takes on a whole area of work rather than leaving it spread across separate tools. It belongs to you and comes with support after launch.

We build desktop apps that run a whole part of your business.

Proper software rather than a single-purpose tool: the related jobs in one area (stock, quotes, scheduling, reporting, approvals) handled together in one app, with AI built in where it earns its place.

Start with the job

When everyday work outgrows its tools.

Start with the task that is slow, fragile or hard to share. The answer might be a small helper app, a full desktop app or a careful improvement to what you already have.

Outgrown a spreadsheet

A spreadsheet that became a process

The whole business now depends on it, but it is too large, fragile and widely shared. Key steps rely on people remembering which cells, formulas and versions need special care.

Repeated copying

Three tabs and a copy-paste ritual

Someone copies the same information between customer records, project tools and a dozen other places every day. A focused app could turn minutes of repeated work into a few reliable clicks.

Data stays on the machine

Data that shouldn't leave the machine

Sensitive records, confidential client work or financial data may need to stay on the computer. A local app can keep that information close while still making the work easier.

Works with local files

Bring local files and tools together

The job may depend on a local database, private service, specialist hardware or files on the computer. A desktop app can connect these parts in one place.

One app should take the whole job off your team. Not add another place to check.

Ways to start

Start with a plan, a prototype or the production app.

We help you choose the right starting point and quote for the agreed work before you commit. If AI is the main question rather than the app, see the AI services separately.

Paid project plan Fixed at £750 An editable brief for one project, with a recommended first version and practical next steps. Yours to take to another developer.
Prototype Scope agreed first One installable desktop app that solves one concrete problem.
Production app Scope agreed first A signed, documented app that is yours to own.
AI retrofit Scope agreed first Useful AI added to an app your team already knows.

How a desktop project runs

Something real to test, then an app you own.

We start with the smallest useful version, so your team has something real to test before committing to a production app.

Test a prototype

Where useful, a separately paid prototype lets your team test the approach before committing to the full app. We agree what it tests, what you receive and its price before starting.

Own the finished app

You receive a signed installer, automatic updates, a written guide and the code. The app is documented so another person can support it later.

The written plan, the reviews along the way and support after launch run the way all our projects do.

Finding the right fit

When a different answer fits better.

The first conversation should confirm whether a desktop app fits. These are the cases where we may recommend another route, including a website or web app.

When a web app fits better

A desktop app opens instantly, works with the files and equipment already on the machine, and keeps everyday work fast. If the job would work better as a web app that anyone can open in a browser, we'll recommend that route instead.

When you need a mobile specialist

Our app experience is on desktop. If the product needs to be designed around phones and tablets, we'll recommend a team that specialises in mobile apps.

When AI does not improve the job

We add AI when it can make the app more useful: for example by sorting, summarising or drafting. If it adds cost without improving the work, we'll recommend the simpler app.

When the work belongs in a system you already run

If the job sits inside a tool your team is already committed to, extending that is often cheaper and easier to support than a new app beside it. We'll say so.

Apps from the studio

Fifteen apps tested by real work.

Each app removes a real problem from our working week, and using them every day shows us what stays useful long after launch. They run on Macs because that’s what the studio uses; what we build for you is made for the machines your team already has.
