Cadence.
AI work with human approval
AI does the legwork. A person decides.
One of fifteen tools the studio built for its own work. We build the same kind of app for clients, shaped around the job they need doing.
- Made for
- Moving a project board forward on a schedule, safely

- Runs on the Mac; AI requests go to the assistant chosen for each stage
What Cadence does.
Cadence coordinates scheduled AI assistants that take software tasks through four stages: triage identifies gaps in a task, specification develops the plan, build creates and checks a change in a separate working copy, and revise applies feedback to the resulting draft.
A person can approve each stage. For tasks we explicitly select, automation can choose ready work and approve the intermediate steps. Release always stays with a person.
In another business, the same pattern could prepare quotes or check documents from an agreed queue, leaving approval with the responsible person.
Why we built Cadence.
Using AI on software projects created work around the work: preparing instructions, passing context between assistants and keeping their activity aligned with the project board. We wanted that board to guide a repeatable process, with progress visible between sessions and clear limits on what automation could approve.
Cadence prepares and revises drafts. A person decides whether they are ready.
How Cadence earns its place in a working day.
Triage
New tasks get filled in: priorities, missing detail, likely duplicates flagged. Then it waits for a person, unless the task is explicitly marked for automatic progression.
Specify
For an approved task, an AI assistant writes the plan. A person reviews it before build, unless the task is explicitly marked for automatic progression.
Build
Approved plans become changes in a separate working copy of the product, checked and ending as a draft for review.
Revise
Review feedback gets folded back into the same draft. Release remains a human decision, every time.
The board moves on its own schedule
We arrive to triaged tasks, written plans and drafts waiting for a yes or a no, with a record of each stage and controls to intervene.
Approval is built in
The AI assistants cannot release changes. Any task can be held, and a project can be paused or resumed from the menu bar.
Made to fit the work it needs to do.
Each stage can use a different AI assistant, chosen for the job. We can change providers without rebuilding Cadence or losing the process around it.
The safety rules are the part clients rightly ask about first: separate working copies, a person approving each stage by default and a defined stopping point before release.
AI assistants fill gaps in new tasks, write plans, prepare changes and respond to review feedback. Different stages can use different assistants for planning, implementation and review.
